The Delaware Division of Human and Civil Rights and the Delaware Human and Civil Rights Commission are here to serve and represent the citizens of our Nations’ first state – Delaware. Founded in 1961 as the State Human Relations Commission and made up of volunteers who worked tirelessly to ensure a more accommodating environment for everyone, to the present day where our new name reflects our enduring commitment to ensuring civil and human rights for every Delawarean, we are here for you. On behalf of our staff and the Commission, we welcome you to explore our website and learn more about our responsibilities in our fight against discrimination and protecting your rights. Together we can make a difference.
